We love to join the hundreds of golf carters on the Fourth of July. Here we are bumper to bumper, heading home after the fireworks with the rest of the community.
We enjoyed the month of July by visiting with friends and family. This was when we had Greg and Jill Edwards and their two children over for a barbecue and swimming.

After so many trees had fallen, we were afraid the Bradford Pears by our new gate might fall while we were out of the country, so sadly, we hired a crew to cut down the two trees nearest the gate. Here is the entrance to our property before the trees were cut.
And here's the entrance after the trees were cut... it's so bare.
We spent an afternoon at the lake in Peachtree City with our friends, the Dewlens.
Grammy (Bruce's mom) celebrated her birthday with us and we had dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Aunt Marie came too!
Opening presents at home.
We celebrated Cow-Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A. Every July we love to dress up as cows and go to Chick-fil-A... they give free combo meals to everyone that dresses up! We brought Brooke's friend, Jade, along with us. (Yes, that's me in the cow suit.) I made that costume for Halloween before the girls were born!
Reese saved her money last year so she could buy an American Girl doll when we got back to the States. Here she is opening it right before she is going to Ashley's American Girl birthday party.
Here she is at Ashley's party with her new doll, McKenna.
Bruce had to fly back to Saudi before our summer vacation really started. He enjoyed his time in Georgia and especially enjoyed his projects on the house.
By herself, Jordan flew to Savannah and spent a couple of nights with one of her best friends from Saudi, Danielle. Danielle's family was staying in Savannah with her grandparents. They went sightseeing in Savannah and went to the Juliet Gordon Lowe Home. Here is Jordan with Danielle and her two sisters (Danielle is the second from the right.) They're looking up their great grandmother's name in the very first Girl Scout troop in 1912.
Brooke spent a week each day from 9-5 at the Legacy Theatre's summer day camp five minutes from our house. Here she is in the final show.
Over the summer we discovered the new trend in sweet shops... build your own bowl of frozen yogurt with toppings! They seemed to have popped up everywhere. Here we are at the local "Loco Froyo".
Brooke was so excited to go to an overnight camp this year! We chose a drama camp north of Atlanta at Brenau University in Gainsville called the Atlanta Workshop Players' Destiny camp. Here we are dropping her off after she has met her roommate and unpacked a little. Her roommate is also home schooled!
Checking out the dorms with her roommate.
Saying goodbye.
Once again, Jordan was able to fly by herself. This time she flew to Pittsburgh to visit a good friend of the family, Cree, who was our babysitter when Jordan was a baby. Jordan and Cree have kept in touch since we moved from Pittsburgh 15 years ago and have a special relationship. Cree was overjoyed to see Jordan and spend the afternoon with her. Unfortunately, no pictures were taken :(
My mom was able to come visit and go on vacation with us.
Here is Brooke's show after her week at camp. She's the one in the yellow top and white shorts.
Reunited again.
Back home in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Look at that blue sky! We've missed our beautiful home town. After being in Saudi for a year, the girls really appreciate our home now.
We took my mom and a few girls river rafting down the Chatahoochee River in Atlanta.
We ended the month with Jordan having a telephone interview with her ALO (Admissions Liaison Officer) from the Air Force Academy and packing for our cruise in August.
