We arrived in Saudi late last night. We were thrilled to get business class and enjoyed our luxurious, lay-flat seats! Brooke carried her enormous Chick-fil-A cow the whole way!
In Dubai, the Emeriati gate agent chatted with her and when he read the cow's sign, "EAT MOR CHIKIN," he couldn't stop laughing and made the other agent read it. We have read that sign so many times in Atlanta, that it didn't really mean anything to us, but when we saw how it amused him, we couldn't help but laugh. Also, an American mother arriving in Dammam told Brooke how she missed Chick-fil-A when she saw the cow.
Three of our eight pieces of luggage didn't make it to Dammam, but hopefully, we'll get them soon. Jordan had to throw away her fingernail scissors and clippers at a Dubai airport security, but Pattie got her avocado seedlings through! Ironically, they didn't find the scissors in Jordan's carry-on that we noticed later!
We unpacked all of the luggage that made it so far.
Jordan's abaya is hanging in the closet.
There wasn't much to do after we unpacked, so they worked off their energy...
with a little wrestle.
Then we went outside and, boy, was it hot! So we made a mango lemonade slushie and sat on the patio until it was too hot.
Everyone was excited to put their things away in their newly painted rooms.
We bought the paint before we left last spring, and Bruce had it painted before we returned. It's so colorful! The white walls were somewhat depressing before. It will take a while to make this home, but we're on our way.
Here's the Grand Tour:

We can see the playground from our house. Here's the walkway to it.
